Dance Desires has an outstanding faculty of staff who work to inspire and fulfil the potential of every student. With the aim of developing versatile and rhythmic dancers, our professionally-trained teachers create exciting lessons, exposing students to varying dance styles and music genres. Committed to the instruction of safe and proper technique, all teachers continue to refine their craft through ongoing training at professional workshops and teaching seminars.
Principal: Alanna Partridge (A.R.A.D – RTS, M.S.F.D, Ad Dip Dance)
Alanna began her dance training at the age of three and knew then that it would always be a part of her life. Alanna has trained extensively in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Character, Acrobatics, Hip- Hop and Circus Arts. Successfully completing examinations in both the Cecchetti and R.A.D syllabi, Alanna passed her final ballet exam with 100%. Holding two Advanced Diplomas in dance, Alanna went on to dance professionally across Australia in productions of Giselle, Cinderella, Le Corsir, Swan Lake, Coppellia and The Merry Widow.
It was during this time that Alanna discovered her true passion lay in teaching and began to undertake her teaching qualifications. Now a registered R.A.D Teacher, Alanna is the only person Australia wide to hold a Teaching Certificate in each of the S.F.D Ballet, Tap and Jazz syllabi.
Alanna founded Dance Desires in 2008, her passion for dance, vision for excellence and enthusiasm easily apparent. Her patient and nurturing teaching style resonated with students and parents alike, fostering the beginnings of the close-knit and friendly community Dance Desires has grown to be.
Continuing to contribute to the dance profession and industry, Alanna spent 2010-2013 co-creating the new S.F.D Dance Fusion syllabus, as well as being a fundamental part of the S.F.D Mainstream Jazz updates, released in January of 2014. She was also very honoured to be appointed an S.F.D examiner. Alanna teachers regularly at Master Classes and Conventions held right across Melbourne.
Brydie has been dancing for over 18 years and has been teaching dance since 2006. She specializes in a range of styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, cheerleading, creative dance, yoga and zumba. She has completed all the levels of Tap & Jazz examinations with the Southern Federation of Dance with honors, and has completed all her RAD ballet exams up to Grade 8/Intermediate.
Brydie is an industry professional with a range of performing credits, including the lead dance/acting roles for a children’s entertainment company and was also featured in the 2006 Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony Dance Crew.
Brydie is a dedicated and passionate teacher who has achieved a Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care and Cert III in Community services specializing in Working with Children. She is also accredited to teach dance by the Australian Sports commission, and is a registered Australian All-star Cheerleading Federation teacher and coach.
Brydie’s passion and years of experience make her an brilliant teacher who loves to share her skills of creative expression through dance to children and young adults.
Zoe started her training when she was only six years old in New Zealand and completed all her RAD exams before moving to Sydney to study dance full time. Now studying with a ballet company in Melbourne, she’s worked her way up from a teacher’s aide to a formidable dance teacher in her own right. With her fun and friendly nature, she loves nothing more than inspiring all those budding young dancers with a love and passion for dance!
Kathryn Noble (M.S.F.D)
Kathryn started dancing at the age of 13 when she developed a passion for all styles of dance. She has completed her RAD classical major examinations up to ADV 2, SFD through to Jazz level 10, and holds an SFD Jazz teaching certificate.
Kathryn has completed two years of fulltime study at industry dance under Robert Sturrock where she has trained in most dance styles & performance, including jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, commercial jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, lyrical, singing and acting. She has also worked alongside some of the heaviest hitters in the industry, including Jessica Mauboy, Rhonda Burchmore and many others.
With years of teaching experience behind her, Kathryn has a gift for passing on her love and passion for dance.
Originally from country Victoria, Tony Keeble started his dance training at a young age with the Mildura Ballet and Dance Guild, learning classical ballet, contemporary and jazz. After graduating VCE with a dux in both Dance and Theatre Studies, he went on to present his final year Solo Performance in the honourable ‘Top Acts’ showcase in Melbourne.
In 2008, Tony moved to Melbourne to train at the Victorian College of the Arts. During his studies he was fortunate to be trained by Australia’s leading choreographers including Stephanie Lake, Rebecca Hilton, Helen Herbertson, Dean Walsh, and international artist Wendy Houston. Completing his Bachelor’s degree in 2010, Tony went on to work on various projects for stage, film and print. His credits include: Opera Australia, AusDance Victoria, White Night Melbourne, Vertical Shadows Dance Company, Parralox, The Saturday Age and Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
As an upcoming actor, Tony has also established himself in the Australian film and television industry. His credits include the drama series ‘Offspring’, ‘Miss Fishers Murder Mysterious,’ as well as TVC’s for Nissan, Mazda, Victoria Bitter and Kyral Castle.
Tony is also a talented choreographer and teacher, having produced dance pieces for clients around Melbourne, specialising in cabaret, corporate events and dance for film. He is an ongoing Artist in Residence at Kingswood College, and teaches classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre and acrobatics at a number of dance studios around Victoria.
